A Play – played by the Jewish elementary school of Gombin. In the picture: the teacher Mme Wisocka. Other teachers to be remembered:

* Perl Gricz, teacher for the realistic fields, mathematics, physics and other subjects, taught with very high level of knowledge.

* Kalmus - the eldest among the teachers, for handicrafts. He also gave private lessons in Yiddish

* Remboim - enlightened man, refined, very respected by the people. He founded a band of mandolins and run at his own house, a special circle for music, for the special gifted pupils.

In the archive of  Mr. Lukaszewksi of blessed memory, there is a program of a play staged on Shabat 5 November, 1927 "Scwer zu zein e iid"... ("it is hard to be a Jew…") R. Gostinska played the roll of Sara, Ch. Zandman was David Shapira, Z. Taifeld and H. Lancki were their children, M. Zayonc played the role of a student, together with M. Wolman, D. Blawat, A. Szczawinski. M. Chaja played the role of Horowitz, the teacher, and S. Mochny was Kecele...

 INVITATION

You are kindly invited to the annual  Remembrance Assembly to commemorate our lost Shtetl Gombin and remember the martyrs of Gombin. It  will take place in the Kossar- Karetzky senior Citizens Center ("Gombin House"), 34 Hagolan St., Shikun Dan, Tel Aviv, on Wednesday,  Sivan 27,  5773 - 05.06.2013 at16:00.
 

We call the second and third generations to participate in the assembly and honor the memory of fathers and mothers, grandfathers and grandmothers, uncles and aunts, nephews and nieces, who were murdered and have no tomb or memory.
