Photographs and Captions were compiled by Rachel P. Cohen, in honor of her father Selig Perlman (December 9, 1988-August 14, 1959) of blessed memory. Selig Perlman was an economist and labor historian at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He was born in Bialystok in Congress Poland (then part of Russia ) in 1888. His father, Mordecai, was a Jewish merchant who supplied yarn and thread to home weavers. Aug. 15: Early morning flight to from Tel-Aviv to Warsaw; continue to Krakow; tour of Krakow; Kabbalat Shabbat, dinner, and overnight in Krakow.

   Aug. 16: Tour of main sites of Krakow including the ancient Jewish quarter, the Ghetto area, the old city, castle, Wawel; overnight in Krakow.

   Aug. 17: Tour of Auschwitz-Birkenau and trip to Warsaw; overnight in Warsaw.

   Aug. 18: Early departure to Bialystok; ceremony - The Commemoration Ceremony for the 65th Anniversary of the Uprising of the Ghetto of Bialystok; overnight in Bialystok.

   Aug. 19: Events and tours of Bialystok and environs; overnight in Bialystok.

     Aug. 20: Continuation of tours in Bialystok; in the afternoon trip via Tykocin and Treblinka to Warsaw; overnight in Warsaw.

   Aug. 21: Tour of Warsaw, main Jewish sites, the old city; overnight in Warsaw.

Aug. 22: Flight from Warsaw to Tel-Aviv.
