he Organization of Former Jewish Residents of Bialystok and its Surroundings in Israel pursued under his blessed initiation the expansion of the community's perpetuation and its legacy to future generations. As far as 1946, a Monument of Testimony was erected in Bialystok in memory of the community and its fighters against the Nazis. During Gomulka's rule, the Monument was dismantled and buried in a military camp.I
n 1993, the Monument of Testimony was renovated, in memory of the 71 Ghetto fighters who retreated, after days of fighting against the Nazis, to bunkers that were surrounded by the Germans, all the fighters perished. This Monument of Testimony stands in the Jewish cemetery of Bialystok, on its previous site.I
n 1995, in cooperation with the local authorities, a Monument of Testimony was erected in the city center, at the site where the Great Synagogue once stood and which was destroyed and burnt by the Germans with 2000 Jewish citizens.T
he Monument consists of two parts, shaped in a special form, the crown of one part bearing the exact copy of the Great Synagogue dome. The other part of the Monument consists of a wall on top of, which is a Menorah made of copper adorned with two bronze surfaces in the middle. On one of these is a beautiful inscription on graphite from the Great Synagogue and on the second surface is carved a perpetuation text in Hebrew, Polish and English.T
