Family of Shimon Alter (Shimshon) & Cecille ("Zysla" nee Cohen from PULTUSK), Tachna from Mlawa. This portrait, which is not including of all of their children, was posed for in a Mlawa studio just before the start of the First World War.
The family had 11 children in all, several pictured here. Grandson Michael is seated on great grandmother's lap. Robert's grandfather, Hersz Nutuh, is seen standing at the upper right on the end.
