Joseph Tachna was a brother to Shimon Alter Tachna. He immigrated to the United States from his native town of Mlawa, Poland with his wife Ida and their children Albert, Anne, Nettie, and Morris in 1912.
Harry Nathan Tachna arrived in the United States in 1923. He first settled in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania but later was greeted and welcomed by his Uncle Joseph and Aunt Ida's family in Detroit, Michigan where he eventually stayed.
