Polish Jews who purchased property in "Palestine".
Message from Alex Bachrach to JewishGen 15.4.1997
The Israeli government is renewing its actions of expropriating unclaimed land purchased by more than 1,500 Americans and Europeans in the 1920's but which has since been 'abandoned' or forgotten about by its foreign landlords.
We are searching for the following names who have unclaimed land in Israel: ( the list combined from all names attached herebelow). Relatives or heirs should be prepared to document their relationship to the above names as well as verifying their last known address. Inquries should be emailed to:

The government of Israel has just published a pamphlet containing about 10,000 names of people whose whereabouts are unknown and who own various kinds assets in Israel, e.g., bank accounts, apartments, land, etc.
The list is in Hebrew and indicates no details other than the name of the person and the type of asset owned. The Israeli government in all their wisdom has NOT released the list to the general public but rather has made it available only for perusal in the offices of the *Custodian of Assets* in Jerusalem.
Our company has a partial listing of these people and are prepared to investigate these names or any other names on behalf of relatives who think they may have a legitimate claim to an asset. Among the names on our list are:..

Further to our recent postings, please note below our latest compilation of names of Polish Jews who owned property in Israel prior to WWII and whose whereabouts are listed as unknown. The names have been transliterated from Yiddish into English and, as a result, may have misspellings.
If you feel you may be related to someone on the list or know someone who may be related to one of the names which appears below, please feel free to contact us. A preliminary investigation is at no cost or obligation.

Further to our recent postings, please note below our second posting of our latest compilation of names of Polish Jews who purchased property in Israel in the 1920 s and whose whereabouts are currently listed as unknown. The government of Israel is now actively expropriating these dormant properties in lieu of payment of taxes and assessments thereto.
The names have been transliterated from Yiddish into English and, as a result, may have misspellings. If you feel you may be related to someone on the list or know someone who may be related to one of the names which appears below, please feel free to contact us. A preliminary investigation of enquiries received will be carried out at no cost or prior obligation.

Further to our last posting, we are still searching for the descendants of the following Polish Jews who purchased property in 'Palestine' sometime between 1925-1930 but whose whereabouts are 'unknown.' The successors to these owners may claim legitimate rights to the property in question provided some kind of corroboration is available to substantiate the claim in lieu of any supporting documentation.
Our company will conduct a preliminary investigation of all claims at no cost or obligation to the potential successor in order to determine the feasability of the claim. We would urge anyone who thinks they may be related to these persons or who may know someone who does to contact our offices at your earliest convenience.
The names are in Polish however, there may be typographical errors since they evolved from the original list which was written in Yiddish and is sorted by cities in Poland:
