Judische Religiositat in Nationalsozialistischen Konzentrationslagern

Dr. Thomas Rahe:
"SHMA ISRAEL"
Dr. Thomas Rahe is the Manager of the Bergen Belsen Site in Present!
The Jewish religion had a special truthful aspect in the survival of the victims of the
Nazi Concentration Camps.
Universe of fear, death, despair, hunger and sickness had their effect and seal on the behavior and the thought of the prisoners and Shoa martyrs.
What was the importance of Judaism in the horrible reality of the Nazi camps?
To what extent did the Jewish religion help to preserve humanity and Jewish identity?
What was the contribution of the Jewish faith to the survival?
How did the Jewish believer conceive the Holocaust?
Dr. Thomas Rahe tries to avoid quick judgement in those most important questions, and the banality of the answers. He researched what happened in the Nazi German camps and bases his book on thousands of documents and interviews with Holocaust survivors.
