Subject: Researching: GOLDBLUM from Turek/Kalisz, Luel from Blaszki and Lodz
Schloss / Heyman from Zdunska Wola
Dear Daniel and Ada,
Thanks for replying. Here is a reminder of what I know:
My parents, my older sister (born in Kalisz in 1923) and myself left Kalisz and our large family, to Roanne, France, in the early 1930s. I was born in Kalisz in 1926.
My father: Szlama (Shloyme, Shlomo), was born in Turek in 1898. His parents were: Mordehai (Mordche, Mordka), birth place and year unknown, deceased around 1936 in Kalisz. Riwka (Ryfka), nee Luel, birth place and year unknown, presumably lived in Blaszki before her marriage, was seen in Lodz Ghetto and perished in the Shoah.
They had six sons and six daughters: my father was the eldest+ (not in order of age) 5 brothers - Simha (escaped the Shoah), Shmuel (survived the Shoah), Nehemyah, Yaakov-Elchanan, Yehuda (the three perished with their families) - and 6 sisters - Sarah and Shifra (left Kalisz for Palestine before the Shoah), Sonia (survived the Shoah), Guta or Tova, Ester or Ester-Leah, Haytsha or Hayah (the three perished with their families). Except Yehuda, all were married and had children.
My mother: Dwojra Reisla (Dora), nee Schloss, was born in Zdunska Wola in 1894. Her parents were Jsaak Schloss and Bina-Leah nee' Heyman.
I am interested in anything related to my direct family's history, with priority on two queries:
Thanking you for your helpfulness,
Jacques
