Subject: MAZAL TOV ISRAEL,

Shalom,

I call all Jewishgenners to drop their pens which work so hard, deciphering the Mormon indexes, to close their history books for a while, to neglect for just a day, the manifests, census, databases and tombstones... and join us here, in our grand celebrations for the 50th. anniversary of the State of Israel.

I love my country, the country of Milk and Honey, country of the Bible, country of the Galilee and of the Jordan river, the Negev golden sands, the deep Dead Sea, the green forests of the Carmel Mountain, the flourishing hills of Kiriat Tivon, the old houses of Bat Shlomo, the Sabra cactuses growing in the fields of Kibbutz Evron...

I love my country, country of the Sages of Israel, country of immigrants from more than 30 countries, speaking more than 30 languages, but all dreaming or will dream in Hebrew...

I love my country, country of the Jewish wisdom and the Jewish legacy, country of high technologies and blossoming agriculture, country of the past and country of the future...

I love my country, country of the soldiers and the fighters, country of the brave Holocaust survivors, rose from the ashes, who, at dawn, right after landing on its land, left for the Independence battles; country whose earth is filled with blood and tears and its sky still echoes the last cry for freedom of the anonymous fighter, buried in his uniforms and his grave unknown...

I love my country, country of the young girls and the young boys who sacrificed their lives in seven wars in fifty years, the Plate of Silver upon which the State of Israel was re-erected, lest we forget...

I love my country, who is still fighting against terror and threats to its existence, but which nevertheless, inspires to peace, longs for SHALOM, seeks SHALOM fights for SHALOM ...

I love Israel, center of the Diaspora, spiritual homeland to all of you, also for those whose body only, dwells in other places...

I love you ISRAEL, day and night, and especially today, thanking you for being and wishing you MAZAL TOV on your jubilee!
